# Connect CodeB PMS If you run your properties in **CodeB PMS**, the guest portal imports its reservations automatically: dates, number of guests, the guest's name, email and phone, the booking channel (Airbnb, Booking.com, direct …) and the price. Cancellations and date changes follow. Your check-in data, payments and notes are never overwritten by the import. The connection uses the CodeB PMS **partner API** (it speaks the same language as the Hostaway API), so nothing has to be installed. ## 1. Create partner credentials in CodeB PMS 1. Sign in to CodeB PMS as an administrator. 2. Open the settings of the **Hostaway-compatible API** (partner API). 3. Add a partner key for the guest portal: a **client ID** (for example *guestbud*) and a long random **client secret**. Save. 4. Note the address of your CodeB PMS, for example `https://pms.example.com`. Without a partner key the CodeB partner API answers nothing — that is intended, because it serves guest personal data. ## 2. Connect CodeB PMS in your dashboard 1. Open **Settings → Channels → CodeB PMS**. 2. Enter the **CodeB PMS address** (`https://pms.example.com` is enough — the guest portal adds `/api/v1` itself), the **Partner client ID** and the **Partner client secret**. 3. Tick **Enabled** and click **Test** (it saves first). You should see *CodeB PMS: connected*. ## 3. Link your properties 1. Click **Show listings** in the CodeB PMS card. You see every CodeB property with its ID and whether it is already linked. 2. **New in the guest portal?** Leave the properties ticked and click **Add selected as properties**. Each one becomes a property here, is linked and its bookings are imported straight away. Photos are not part of the partner API — add them in the **Guide editor**. 3. **Already created a property by hand?** Untick it and paste the CodeB property ID into **Settings → Properties → Settings → CodeB PMS property ID** instead. ## 4. Keep it up to date - Reservations are imported **every 10 minutes**, and whenever you click **Import now**. - Bookings are only ever attached to the property they belong to in CodeB PMS. - Enquiries and owner stays are not imported; a cancelled booking is marked cancelled here. - **Instant updates:** the CodeB PMS card shows a webhook address. As soon as your CodeB PMS version can send outgoing webhooks, paste it there and new bookings arrive within seconds. ## What is not available yet - **Guest chat:** messages through the Airbnb or Booking.com chat are not available for CodeB bookings yet — the guest portal sends the link and messages **by email**. - **Adults and children:** CodeB currently reports only the total number of guests. Guests confirm adults and under-18s in the online check-in, which then sets the tourist tax correctly. ## Frequently asked questions ### Which address do I enter? The address you open CodeB PMS with, for example `https://pms.example.com`. If your partner API runs under `/hostaway/v1` instead of `/api/v1`, enter the full address including that path. ### Test says HTTP 403 — what now? The client ID or secret does not match a partner key in CodeB PMS, or no partner key exists yet. Check them in CodeB and enter the secret again (the stored one stays hidden). ### Can I use CodeB PMS and Hostaway at the same time? Yes. Each property is linked to one source; link a property either to its Hostaway listing or to its CodeB PMS property, not both, so a booking is not imported twice.
