Feature · online check-in
Online guest check-in before arrival
Each booking gets a private link. Guests fill in the check-in on their phone before they travel, pay the tourist tax and deposit, and only then see the door code, Wi-Fi and address. You see the result in the dashboard and never chase paper forms at the door.

What the check-in collects
You decide per host account which fields are required. Everything is stored privately for your account only.
- Lead guest: name, date of birth, nationality, email and phone
- Travel document type and number, optional ID photo
- Home address (required for a German Meldeschein)
- Co-travellers and number of adults and children
- Arrival time slot, house rules accepted, signature on the screen
How it fits the stay
The check-in is the first step in the guest portal. When it is complete and every payment step is settled — paid, held on the card, marked as paid in cash or waived — the access details unlock automatically. Nuki keypad codes are created at the same moment.
Optional: EU Digital Identity Wallet
Guests who have an EUDI Wallet can fill in name, date of birth and nationality from the wallet; these fields are then marked as verified. Everyone else uses the normal form.
Limits to know
The check-in records what the guest enters and, with the wallet, what the wallet confirms. It does not check passport photos automatically, and for Germany it produces the Meldeschein for you to keep — it is not sent to authorities.
Frequently asked questions
Is online check-in required for every booking?
You choose: on for all properties, or per property. Without it, the portal goes straight to the payment steps.
When do guests get the check-in link?
When the booking is imported or entered — by email, by the booking channel’s chat (Hostaway, Channex) or both, automatically or by hand. Reminders before arrival are optional.
Can I correct the data after the guest submitted it?
Staff can correct the number of adults and under-18s and the arrival time from the booking — for example after a late change of party size. Each correction is logged on the booking.
