Host app and phone notifications
Install the Guestbud dashboard as an app on your phone or computer and get push notifications for check-ins, failed payments, late check-ins, deposits due and low ratings.
The dashboard installs like an app on iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS, and can send notifications to each device — even when the dashboard is closed.
Install the dashboard as an app #
- Android / Chrome / Edge — open the dashboard and choose Install app in the top bar (or the browser's install icon).
- iPhone / iPad — open the dashboard in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Notifications on iPhone need iOS 16.4 or later and work only in the installed app.
Turn on notifications #
- Open Settings → Notifications on the device that should receive them.
- Click Turn on notifications and allow notifications when the browser asks.
- Choose which events this device receives.
- Click Send a test to check it works.
Every user and every device is set up separately: the owner can get everything on the phone while a cleaner only receives check-ins.

“Arrives soon” is sent a set number of hours before check-in (3 by default — “Not checked in yet” — hours before check-in under Settings → Notifications). Tapping a notification opens the right page — Arrivals, Departures or the booking.
Privacy #
Notifications are sent with the Web Push standard and are encrypted end to end between Guestbud and your device. They contain the guest's first name and the property, never ID documents or payment data. Notifications only go to users who can see bookings.
Frequently asked questions #
Why do I get nothing on my iPhone? #
Install the dashboard to the home screen first, open it from there and turn notifications on inside the app.
How do I stop notifications on an old phone? #
On that phone open Settings → Notifications and click Turn off on this device. A phone that is reset or uninstalled stops receiving automatically.
